Osaka Japan 2017 -

Catching the train required the seats to be turned around to face the direction of travel; the Japanese Rail system does this with an automatic feature that turns all seats in a car at with the throw of a switch.

Our Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott, is just a few steps from the train station which doubles as a food mall.  According to Lester, most commuters spend a lot of time commuting to and from work and live in small apartments; thus, eating on the run is the norm.

Dinner last night was Curry Udon with rice

Getting started today July 1st (13 hours ahead of home) will be an adventure to the Osaka Castle; the Dotonbori food area and a Hanshan Tigers baseball game.  The look from the hotel looks like fair weather.

So far the most difficult adjustment is to the auto wiping feature of the toilet.  One must applaud the Japaneese for saving paper; but, it does take some time to get use to.
